Goodwood Electronics has produced a Switch Multiplier that provides the ability to have two independent switches, controlling two independent loads over a single switchwire. Built on proven switch multiplier technology, this product provides a cost effective way to provide two switches on the wall, controlling two separate loads without the need for installing additional wiring
Housed in a convenient large junction box, the switch multiplier provides large terminals along with cable strain-relief. The switch multiplier has been tested and is compliant to AS/NZS3100 as well as having a motor rating of M2 (tested and compliant to AS/NZS 3133:2013+A1-A2 clause 13.13).
The switch multiplier is also sold as a fan switching module typically used to provide a local switch in a room where a remote controlled ceiling fan is installed. We have provided this as a separate reference for those who may not be familiar with switch multipliers.
Injection Module
The switch multiplier uses a generic switch injection module, the installer can make the choice as to what brand and type of switch mechanisms they use. The injection module is compatible with all single throw switches and has three colour-coded wires for connection to switches. The colours are labeled on the main switching module terminals for easy configuration of the correct load to be switched.
