What is a Fan Switching Module?

The Fan Switching Module can be used to provide a local switch in a room where a remote controlled ceiling fan is installed.  This has become a requirement by many fan manufacturers to meet their warranty requirements.  The Fan Switching Module is not an isolation device.  Double pole isolation is typically achieved by the installation of an RCD on the circuit.
